A real person, not a call center

“I got tired of watching people give up on paperwork.”

Deborah Massey lives and works right here, and she has spent years helping neighbors and friends figure out what their Medicare actually does — and helping people with diabetes get the shoes and the testing supplies they were told were out of reach.

She is not a doctor and she will not pretend to be one. What she is good at is the part everybody else skips: reading the rules, asking the right questions, and following up until you have a straight answer.

Questions people ask

Plain answers, no fine print games.

Who qualifies for diabetic shoes?Diabetic shoes

It depends on your plan and on what your doctor puts in writing. Medicare Part B may help with therapeutic shoes and inserts for people who have diabetes-related foot problems and a prescription from their doctor. I check your situation and tell you honestly whether you look likely to qualify — what I never do is promise approval, because that decision belongs to your plan.

Does Medicare cover a glucose monitor?Glucose monitor

Monitors, test strips and lancets are often helped with when your doctor says the testing is medically necessary, and a continuous glucose monitor may be an option for some people. Whether it applies to you comes down to your plan and your doctor’s notes. Send me your details and I’ll check where you stand.

Is it really free to check?Getting started

Yes. There is no fee to ask, no consultation charge, and no obligation to do anything afterward. You are allowed to check what you qualify for and then decide it is not for you — that is a perfectly good outcome.

How fast will I hear back?Getting started

Most people hear from me the same day. If I am already on the phone with someone else, leave your number and I will call you back — usually within a few hours, and never with an automated recording.

One phone call could be the difference.

Whether it is shoes you have needed for two years, a monitor your doctor already recommended, or a Medicare decision you have been putting off — it costs nothing to check. Ask Deborah.
